Jordan Knueven
I began 2020 with a goal of expanding my self-taught culinary skills through #52recipes52weeks. I ended the year with well over 52 recipes completed in a short 46 weeks and while I was hoping to continue my journey, 2021 has now become a dumping ground of take-out meals and prepared frozen dinners. I miss the planning, prepping and perfecting of each new dish I created last year and I felt compelled to share my journey with you. This blog is meant to inspire the at-home chef who wants to know more about food and themselves. I don’t believe that anyone is a terrible cook; it just takes patience, practice and a palette you can trust!
When we’re not fighting over space in the kitchen, my boyfriend and I are working full time on our careers outside of the foodie world. Thankfully, it’s not much of a fight in the warmer months because he loves his grill and smoker. So while he’s testing out new pellets and timing outside, I’m testing out new ingredients and methods inside. We really do enjoy cooking for ourselves, but what we really love is to create new dishes to share with the people we love outside of our home. I want to inspire and encourage anyone who loves food to get in the kitchen and experiment through recipes that I have found success in!
